In line with the priorities included in the 9th and 10th Development Plan of our country, the "Technology Transformation Project in OIZs" was initiated as the second phase of the "Development of a Model for Improving Technology Usage in OIZs" project, which is included in the 2016 Investment Program of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology and is carried out in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Manisa Industrial Park was elected as a pilot organized industrial zone within the scope of the project.
The "Cooperation (Framework) protocol for the Establishment of Manisa Industrial Park Innovation Center" was signed between Manisa Industrial Park and the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology. Following the protocol, a workshop was held with the participation of the focus organizations in Izmir and Manisa. Members of the MIPASIC Automotive Cluster also took part in the workshop and project preparation works.
After the preparatory work, the Manisa Industrial Park Innovation Center Report was published on 06.10.2020. Within the scope of the 18-month pilot project, it is aimed to increase the innovation capacities of 20 companies.
